LCF Law picks Bundledocs for agility and security

LCF Law is a UK-based law firm, operating across four locations in Yorkshire. The firm offers a breadth of services across its corporate, commercial and personal law practice areas. The client base is a mixture of private and corporate professionals, with 140 IT users across the offices.

Even though the firm had identified the need for digital solutions previously, the pandemic was a main driver in making the move to e-bundling technology as the courts had to adapt to ensure continuous operation during the various lockdowns. The aim was to achieve a more agile working process for lawyers, so electronic-bundling software that was compatible with the courts and their varying requirements would be essential to make this possible.

The Bundledocs solution

A key challenge for the firm was security — specifically data protection. When searching for potential solutions during a tender and shortlisting process, the robust security measures that are part of Bundledocs met these requirements and more. James Hood, IT director of LCF Law, said: “Risk and compliance are at the very core of our business, so we need to work with suppliers who understand this and treat it with equal importance. The free trial period offered by Bundledocs allowed us to test the product across a variety of projects, particularly in creating bundles. The product is so easy to use that we immediately knew this was the best solution for LCF Law and our clients.”

The benefits of Bundledocs continue to grow as LCF Law integrates the solution further into workflows. In addition to the above benefits, Bundledocs also supports teams across the business in areas such as file completion, marketing, HR and the creation of training packs. Hood says: “As the Bundledocs solution works so well, we don’t have to contact the support team regularly, but when we do we have no complaints. Each department at LCF Law was trained by a member of the Bundledocs team, which allowed for consistency and saved induction time, ensuring a smooth transition to using the solution.”

The results

Integration support for line-of-business applications was a huge bonus for LCF Law. It means that team members don’t have to stop and move between applications while working on tasks, and this has been an immediate time saver introducing efficiencies in their administrative processes. Hood continues: “As a firm, we also need to balance monetary spend with time, and we see the return and more with Bundledocs.”

The world of work continues to migrate to digital tools, and so do clients. The firm found clients now expect electronic bundle delivery as a matter of course. Bundledocs has been key in meeting these evolving client expectations and demands. LCF Law has also found that by using Bundledocs it has reduced paper load across operations. Real-time sharing and editing of documents have also been crucial components.

Staying ahead of the curve

As the legal industry continues to migrate to cloud solutions, Hood encourages firms to begin the Bundledocs trial to see the benefits or else “risk lagging behind” their competitors. LCF Law found the Bundledocs solution intuitive and easy to use, lawyers and IT support love it, and the wider team has been appreciative of time savings and improved efficiencies allowing the firm to stay ahead of the curve in the age of global legal digitisation.
